"All children are born geniuses; 9,999 out of every 10,000 are swiftly, inadvertently degeniusized by grownups." - Buckminster Fuller
How to make a genius is as little understood as geniuses themselves.
The word genius comes from Latin genius, meaning "guardian deity or spirit which watches over each person from birth; spirit, incantation, wit, talent," from root gignere "beget, produce", from Indo-European base *gen- "produce" (Douglas Harper's Online Etmology Dictionary)
Genius, as the ancients knew, was spiritual in origin. And taking a metaphysical approach to this is where we start making progress in understanding this extreme state of ability (or talents).
Basic premise to a book like this is to assemble all the known data on genius (genii) and to publish this as a collection of works.
You'll see as we go that I've rejected a great deal of conventional wisdom. Most that is commonly known about the brain for example, is fallacious, since it is being studied and "understood" from only a material view. So I consulted Napoleon Hill and Prentice Mulford, as well as William Walker Atkinson as my experts. Being metaphysicians, they weren't tied to Science's dialectical materialism or Religions' dogmatic certitudes.
Part of this research was to include all possible techniques in this. And there are many. Though I've limited my excerpts to less than 20 authors, and most all of those who wrote in the last hundred years - while I've mostly skipped those who have written in the last 50 (where Science took a real long dive into not explanining things - other than Quantum Physics, which surfaced with Eastern explanations.) As well, academic writing styles are a bit allergic to me...
Essentially, while earlier authors have described how genius can be created or nurtured, no modern author comes close to figuring this out. This is because they are working from the materialism that Science has sunk into - forgetting or ignoring the spiritual source of all this world around us. But we've had many paradigm shifts, haven't we?
Napoleon Hill became a key inspirational point, since he has studied this particular point, and wrote about it in both his "Think and Grow Rich" and "Law of Success". You'll see his excerpts first.
Hill was a early source to claim that the brain is utilized as an antenna instead of a vital organ. Following this down, particularly through Trine and Larsen, you find that the man exists outside the body as a spiritual entity. The conscious mind is also spiritual, not physical. And so the subconscious mind is also then spiritual and not able to be found in a physical location.
Other than the fact that this stuff worked when it was written, and ignored since - you'll see in this book many, many ways to create genius, nuture it, and train it for real-world applications. If you look up Hill's section on the Sixth Sense and Master Mind (especially if you compare this with Larsen's view of someone becoming a "master mind"), you'll see a description of how brainstorms work. So a group could momentarily achieve genius status, even without a genius being among them. (And interestingly, you see how the Bible predates this all with "Where two or more of you gather in my name...")
Let me give you some notes on this, to give you a framework to work from as you read the following excerpts:
RECIPE FOR GENIUS
1. Seek the Silence Daily.
- Three times at least
- Affirmations work best at alpha - here is the technical way to use autosuggestion
- Use "I AM" at every juncture, affirming it during your trek to Silence daily, and whenever you feel stress
2. Sleep on every problem (Edison took a nap for every problem)
3. Form your "imaginary" Master Mind" and consult these people - living or legendary
4. Practise and train your intuition to an always-on state - "Pray without ceasing"
5. Help everyone around you improve their own genius capabilities.
-Don't try to convert everyone over to your genius-building ideas. The bulk of the people on this planet aren't ready for this and it won't help them, no matter how much you try to persuade them. Only explain it to people who have honestly asked you for your secret, not to people who joke about it or tease you. But by your envisioning them as ideal, and your faith in them, they will have a much better friend, associate, and colleague in you - and so will live much better, happier, longer lives as a result.
INSTANT STRESS RELIEF
0. Stop moving, be still. Close your eyes if at all possible.
1. Breathe deeply - in through the nose, out through the mouth.
2. Relax completely - sit down if you can at work.
4. Imagine a golden circle or globe around your body.
5. Affirm "I AM" several times under your breath or out loud (if possible).
6. Create a vision of your ideal workplace or situation, complete with the positive emotions it creates, and fill that globe with it.
7. Release that globe to the universe, feel it dissipate, saying "And so it is" (or "Amen").
8. Open your eyes, refreshed. Now you can continue work without further stress - and will probably have a good idea of what to do about whatever just caused that stress.
