There are tons of books, CDs, Internet programs, and an array of speakers, consultants, and coaches who will promise you they can make your child, and employee, or even yourself the Genius you've always wanted to be. That my friends, is a lot of hype, and it is not necessarily correct. You cannot train everyone to be a genius because unfortunately, some people don't have it in them. Although it is true that a good many people do, we shouldn't lie to ourselves, or pretend that we can turn everyone into a genius.
Some folks simply don't have the Innovative gene, the entrepreneurial push, or the creative genius flow, we must accept this. That doesn't mean that we, our offspring or our employees are not valuable, it just means that we would be better off doing the things that we are good at and leave the rest to the geniuses. You cannot franchise Innovative Genius, but you can hire a genius easy enough, and luckily in the United States we have a ton of them.
Next time, someone promises you that they will make you into a genius you should be laughing at the entire marketing campaign, because all they are trying to do is sell you your dream. The reality is that most people don't have what it takes to be a genius, and if they did they might actually wish to ditch their genius just so they could become normal like everyone else. Many geniuses feel that it is both a gift and a curse, and this is also something you might wish to consider.
The reality is, you should concentrate on whatever you happen to be good at, and find a genius consultant to help assist you in your other needs, to help you work through solutions. Why not find yourself a brain for hire, and think on that as your next course of action.
